My friend had a friend who got scabies from his girlfriend. Before anyone knew it, the apartment quickly became infested with scabies and everything had to be washed or treated. It is also very important that if buying second hand clothes that you wash them in hot water before you wear them because I also know of someone else who bought either a jacket or sleeping bag from the second hand store and got infected with scabies. His house became infected to! All clothing and things that have come into contact with the scabies should be washed in hot water and the person should see a doctor about treatment.
